I’ve spent the last few days taking in exhibitions and other programming associated with the Pacific Standard Time art festival in Los Angeles. I have discovered many new things, and rediscovered some things I once knew well. The Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s California Design, 1930-1965: “Living in a Modern Way Show” was especially revelatory because it brought together the work of furniture, jewelry, and textile designers amongst others. I’ll post more when I return to Toronto, but in the mean time go see the show at LACMA before it closes on June 3, 2012.
